The blue Spectrum
glass used for the water droplets is an incredibly vibrant blue,
enhanced in the design of this piece by placing the iridized side
of the glass on the front of the panel so that in the light, the
water casts a variety of richly dramatic hues of the iridized
blue.

Comment:
This is a very special panel for me, as it was a project I had
worked on
during my 3-week visit to my friend Juli Stone's "Spellcast
Studio" in November of 2004.
It is a well-traveled piece. Heathrow security allowed me to
take it as a carry-on and British Airways was very accommodating
in allowing me to store it in an empty first class closet during
the long flight from London over the big pond back to Minneapolis. |
