Each class is limited to 5 students in order to provide plenty of personal attention.  You’ll receive full explanations of how and why everything works, as well as demonstrations to help you understand what it's all about.  At the end of your class you will come away with a beautifully completed piece of which you can be proud.

Your tuition for classes at Stained Glass by Judy includes use of tools that are the same quality as those used by myself.

If you find that you’re enjoying the experience and want your own tools, you may purchase them from the studio at a very fair price.

Please note that we are not set up to accept credit cards at this time, so please bring your check book or cash to pay for minimal material fees.  This won’t be necessary for the Introductory class as all materials are included.

We may change dates or combine classes
 if a class is under-enrolled.

If so, we will give you advance notice.

To join in just give us a call at 763-300-9556 or fill in the form toward the bottom of this page; and we’ll call you.

Classes can run as many weeks as you wish.

One session usually runs anywhere from 3 to 4 hours each.

During this course students learn about the techniques involved in making a simple stained glass panel in either the Lead or the  Tiffany Foil method.

You will learn techniques of preparing your pattern, cutting, foiling, & soldering (Tiffany method); and getting help every step of the way.  You will learn how to keep your soldering iron clean so that the solder flows evenly; and how to maintain it so that it will serve you for a long time.

Beginners will make a panel using 30 pieces or less. If you've already had some stained glass experience, you may choose to make a medium to large panel.

The first skill to master is glass cutting.  The more you cut the better you become.  After awhile, you may not even need to use the grinder.

Use of tools are included in class tuition.  There will be a minimal glass and materials fee. payable in cash or check.

In this class you will learn to cut glass, foil and solder a Spring, Summer, Halloween, Fall, Christmas or any other themed suncatcher.  Another fun way to make a creative, one of a kind suncatcher is by using free glass scraps left over from my other studio projects. Otherwise there is an additional minimal charge for glass and other materials like solder or lead.

Use of all of the studio’s top quality tools are included.
